NEWS ON MYANMAR
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or fewer) delivered by today's leading thinkers and doers. Many of these talks are given at TED's annual conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, and made available, free, on TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sal Khan and Daniel Kahneman.
WHAT IS TED
WHAT IS TEDx
The TEDx Program is designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences.
At TEDx events, a screening of TED Talks videos — or a combination of live presenters and TED Talks videos — sparks deep conversation and connections at the local level. TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently, under a free license granted by TED.
WHAT IS TEDxInyaLake
TEDxInyaLake is a not-for-profit initiative organised by a group of enthusiastic volunteers. We are passionate about TED’s spirit of “Ideas worth spreading” and for our first event we aim to connect the world’s ideas to Myanmar and Myanmar’s ideas to the world with the theme “Myanmar Connects”. The one-day event featured live talks from Myanmar-based speakers as well as international talks via TED videos.
